The National Monuments Service's description

In overgrowth at the E-foot of a steep limestone escarpment in a multiperiod field system (CL005-014001-). Classified as a possiblr enclosure based on the representation on the Cassini Edition (1916) of the OS 6-inch map which depicts a hachured oval area (est. diams. c. 28m NW-SE; c. 20m NE-SW) overlain by a field wall. While the earlier OS 25-inch map identifies the feature as ‘Sheepfold’, in several instances in Co. Clare an older enclosure was reused as a sheepfold. Accordingly, this record has been classified as Enclosure - possible.
