Situated in rough pasture on an E-facing slope on the W side of the Caher Valley with broad views from SW-N and within in a multiperiod field system (CL005-014001-).
A subcircular cashel (21m N-S; 19.4m E-W) is defined by a regularly built, internally and externally faced stone wall (Wth 1.1m; int. H 0.4-1.35m; ext. H 0.6-1.15m) with a splayed entrance (int. Wth 0.7m; ext. Wth 0.9m) at ENE. A later field wall is built on the older cashel wall from W-S. A rough, vertical masonry-joint is visible in the outer wall face at W, perhaps indicating a blocked entrance or repair. Mound and slab walls extend to the W and S and a later field wall extends from the N.
