The National Monuments Service's description
On the E-facing shoulder of a steep ridge overlooking a broad valley to the E and sheltered by high ground to the N and W. Within an extensive multiperiod field system (CL004-016001-). Hachured on the 1840 OS 6-inch map and indicated on the 1915 ed. Listed as ‘enclosure’ in the RMP (1996). An irregular cashel (30m E-W; 26m N-S) defined by a drystone wall (Wth 2.8m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.5m) which is best preserved at W where the outer facing is visible and is only intermittently visible elsewhere. Most of the wall which defines the cashel is modern (Wth 0.5-3m; ext. H 0.5-1.1m) and collapsed and overlies a bank of earth and stone which is best preserved at W, S and E (H 0.3-0.4m). The interior of the cashel is higher and rocky at N. Ruins of a house lie just outside the perimeter at W.
