The National Monuments Service's description

On the N-facing slope of a fairly steep hill with excellent views to S and NNE. Hachured on the 1842 and 1915 eds. of the OS 6-inch maps. Listed as 'Enclosure' in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A well-preserved circular bivallate ringfort defined by an inner stone and earth bank (Wth 1.7–2.1m; int. H 0.7–1.3m; ext. H 2–2.6m), a fosse (Wth at base 3m) and an outer bank (Wth 2–2.6m; H 0.6–1m). Traces of external facing (H 0.2–0.3m) are visible on the exterior of the inner bank. This ringfort lies at the W extent of an extensive multiperiod field system (CL004-016001-), covering an area of c. 8km.
