The National Monuments Service's description
Set into the floor of the presbytery of the Cistercian church at Corcomroe (CL003-029002-). A graveslab (L 1.9m; Wth at top 0.56m tapering to 0.42m) bearing a cross carved in low relief with fleur-de-lis terminals to the three arms of the cross and a similar terminal to the cross shaft. A square depression (0.03m x 0.03m) occurs in the centre of the cross head. A crack occurs one third along the length of the stone from the bottom. The slab is chamfered on all four edges to a depth of 0.03-0.04m. A 19th-century inscription superimposed on the upper portion of the cross reads: Michael Gallane/This Tomb The/Property of Patrick/Tool for him/& posterity/1828. (Carey 2008, 18).
