The National Monuments Service's description

Situated c. 20m S of the abbey buildings at Corcomroe (CL003-029002-) near the SW corner of the graveyard and indicated on the 1915 OS 6-inch map. A rectangular building (L 9m E-W; Wth 6m) with mortared stone walls (Wth 0.9m). The interior is filled with clay-covered rubble to a height of 1m above the external ground. A doorway (Wth 1.6m; H 2.4m) at the E end is framed in well-dressed stone. A doorway (Wth 1.5m; H 1.8m) at the W end of the N wall is more crudely built with a rough supporting arch and hanging eye. It is partially blocked. There is another doorway opposite in the S wall. A later internal dividing wall (Wth 1.2m) is visible in the rubble projecting from but not bonded to the inner face of the N wall. Two other buildings, slightly smaller in size, one c. 12.5m to the ESE, and one c. 25m to the SE, are indicated only on the OS 1st edition 6-inch map. The function of these buildings and their relationship to the abbey is uncertain.
