The National Monuments Service's description

On a gentle S-facing slope of improved pastureland at the E foot of Cappanawalla Hill, 1.5km S of the foreshore. Hachured as a full circle on the 1842 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a partial arc from N–SE, with the addition of a ‘cave’, on the 1915 ed. Listed as ‘Enclosure’ in the SMR (1992) and the RMP (1996). A poorly preserved almost circular enclosure (int. dims. 10.7m N–S; 10.1m E–W) defined by a wide moss-covered stony spread (Wth 4.7–7m; H 0.4–1.2m), a good deal of which appears to consist of cleared field stones. One internal facing-stone is visible at N and a possible outer facing-stone at S. A later field wall skirts the outer W limits of the site. There is no visible trace of the ‘Cave’, a probable souterrain (CL002-039002-), marked near centre of site on the 1915 ed. OS 6-inch map. Two other enclosures (CL002-041---- and CL002-043----) are situated c. 150m NNE and c. 270m E.
