The National Monuments Service's description

At the N end of a narrow valley of pastureland between Gleninagh ‘Mountain’ and Cappanawalla Hill, in the SW quadrant of a large cashel (CL002-030002-). Not listed in the SMR (1992) or the RMP (1996). An oval building (int. dims. 6m N–S; 4m E–W) defined by tumbled stone spread (Wth 2.5m; H0.5m). A second building (CL002-030004-) is c. 23m ENE, SE of the centre of the cashel and a shell midden (CL002-030003-) was noted within the cashel in 1994 (pers. comm. Tom Coffey, SMR file).
