The National Monuments Service's description
At the N end of a narrow valley of pastureland between Gleninagh ‘Mountain’ and Cappanawalla Hill, in the interior of a large cashel (CL002-030002-). A ‘shell midden’ was recorded in this cashel (pers. comm. T. Coffey, SMR file) and listed in the RMP (1996). There was no visible trace of the midden when the cashel was inspected in 1997. Two house sites (CL002-030004- and CL002-030005-) are located within the cashel.
