Historique
En 1816, un canal et un aqueduc sont construits pour alimenter en eau une sucrerie depuis la rivière Saint-Etienne. Au départ aqueduc en bois porté par des piles maçonnées, louvrage est remplacé, à la fin du 19e siècle, par un assemblage de tôles rivetées semi-cylindriques. La modernisation de lusine du Gol et la mise en place dun nouveau réseau dirrigation en 1985 a entraîné la fermeture du canal.

History
In 1816, a canal and an aqueduct were built to supply water to a sugar works from the Saint-Etienne river. Initially an aqueduct of wood borne by masonry piles, the structure was replaced, at the end of the 19th century, by an assembly of semi-cylindrical riveted sheet metal. The modernisation of the Gol factory and the establishment of a new irrigation network in 1985 led to the closure of the canal.
