Situé dans le vieux centre ville, ce bâtiment est construit pendant la Seconde guerre mondiale pour servir de grande salle d’œuvres ou établissements religieux, destiné aux activités annexes de l'église. La construction commence en 1943 mais est interrompue faute de moyens. Il s'agit d'un vestige de l'architecture religieuse conçue par les prêtres et réalisée par les ouvriers locaux. Les murs sont en pierre de taille. La première toiture était en bardeaux mais, arrachée par le cyclone de 1948, elle fut remplacée par une toiture en tôle.

History
Located in the old town centre, this building was constructed during the Second World War to serve as a large hall of works or religious establishments, intended for ancillary activities of the church. Construction begins in 1943 but is interrupted due to lack of means. It is a vestige of religious architecture designed by the priests and realised by local workers. The walls are in ashlar stone. The first roof was in shingles but, torn away by the cyclone of 1948, it was replaced by a metal roof.
