Le site de la Grande Chaloupe est situé à la limite des communes de Saint-Denis et de La Possession. Les lazarets ont été construits au 19e siècle, de 1861 à 1865, pour préserver la Réunion des épidémies. The site of Grande Chaloupe is located on the boundary of the communes of Saint-Denis and La Possession.
