Construit en 1754 pour franchir le seul point non carrossable du chemin de Saint-Denis à Saint-Benoît, ce pont est le plus ancien ouvrage d'art de l'île. Il a été doublé et surélevé pour la construction du chemin de fer en 1878, avant d'être réutilisé pour la RN 2. C'est un pont en maçonnerie de moellons de pierre de taille, à une arche et doublé par un ouvrage en terre sur buses en béton.

History
Built in 1754 to cross the only non-passable point of the road from Saint-Denis to Saint-Benoît, this bridge is the oldest structure of the island. It was doubled and raised for the construction of the railway in 1878, before being reused for the RN 2. It is a bridge in masonry of rubble stone, with one arch and doubled by an earthwork structure on concrete pipes.
