L'ensemble des roches gravées de Vallée d'Or comprend 76 roches présentant 258 gravures et 26 polissoirs. Les gravures sont réalisées sur des blocs de roche volcanique répartis en six concentrations. Les représentations, très stylisées, reprennent le répertoire amérindien antillais avec une prédominance des visages et des corps "emmaillotés". La présence de mobilier archéologique, haches et céramiques, atteste d'une occupation de la période saladoïde (300-600 après J.-C.) mais également plus tardive à l'ouest.

History
The ensemble of engraved rocks of Vallée d'Or comprises 76 rocks presenting 258 engravings and 26 polishers. The engravings are made on blocks of volcanic rock distributed in six concentrations. The representations, highly stylised, take up the Amerindian Antillean repertory with a predominance of faces and 'swaddled' bodies. The presence of archaeological artefacts, axes and ceramics, attests to an occupation of the Saladoid period (300-600 after J.C.) but also later to the west.
