Jardin créé entre 1927 et 1929 par le paysagiste Jean-Claude-Nicolas Forestier pour Alice Stern, artiste peintre. Le jardin, situé sur des terrains de forte dénivellation, est traversé par le tunnel du chemin de fer. Il a la particularité d'avoir été conçu pour une personne se déplaçant en fauteuil roulant. De gros travaux de terrassement ont été menés pour créer une dalle de chaque côté de la voie de chemin de fer. Trois terrasses successives sont desservies par une rampe en pente douce. De vastes pelouses mettent en valeur les arbres provenant de l'ancien château de Montretout. La ligne des terrasses est soulignée par la présence de parterres de buis taillés et de topiaires d'ifs. L'espace est borné au sud par une allée de tilleuls dont l'axe est réglé sur la Tour Eiffel. A l'est, une roseraie en pergola limite le jardin tout en laissant la vue sur le panorama parisien. Il semble que ce jardin soit le seul jardin privé sur dalle connu à ce jour.

History
Garden created between 1927 and 1929 by landscape architect Jean-Claude-Nicolas Forestier for Alice Stern, painter. The garden, situated on steeply sloping land, is crossed by a railway tunnel. It has the particularity of having been designed for a person moving about in a wheelchair. Major earthwork was undertaken to create a platform on each side of the railway line. Three successive terraces are served by a gently sloping ramp. Extensive lawns showcase trees from the former château of Montretout. The line of the terraces is emphasized by the presence of extensive clipped box beds and yew topiary. The space is bounded to the south by an avenue of lime trees whose axis is aligned with the Eiffel Tower. To the east, a rose garden in pergola limits the garden whilst allowing views over the Parisian panorama. It would appear that this garden is the only known private garden on a platform of this type to date.
