Historique
Ecole construite entre 1925 et 1927 à la demande de la Société française des électriciens, par les architectes André Raimbert, Jean Papet et Georges Appia. Les locaux étant devenus insuffisants, de nouveaux bâtiments furent décidés en 1973, à Gif-sur-Yvette. En 1975, l'école est affectée à la faculté de droit de l'université René Descartes Paris 5.££L'ensemble comportait un certain nombre de bâtiments différenciés selon leur fonction. Salles de conseil, appartements de direction et bibliothèque au premier étage du pavillon d'entrée. Au centre, se trouvait le hall et le grand amphithéâtre, ainsi que l'administration. A l'arrière, deux ailes étaient consacrées aux salles des machines et des mesures, et aux laboratoires. Le bâtiment antérieur est resté dans son état d'origine.

History
School built between 1925 and 1927 at the request of the French Society of Electricians, by architects André Raimbert, Jean Papet and Georges Appia. As the premises became insufficient, new buildings were decided upon in 1973, at Gif-sur-Yvette. In 1975, the school was assigned to the Faculty of Law of René Descartes Paris 5 University. The complex comprised a certain number of differentiated buildings according to their function. Council rooms, management apartments and library on the first floor of the entrance pavilion. In the centre were the hall and the great amphitheatre, as well as the administration. At the rear, two wings were devoted to the machine and measurement rooms, and to laboratories.
