Historique
Les bâtiments doivent remonter aux alentours de 1915. Cette tuilerie-briqueterie n'a jamais été mécanisée, et est représentative des anciennes pratiques artisanales locales et des modes d'exploitation ancestraux des entreprises de Puycheny. C'est la dernière tuilerie à posséder en 1947, et au moment de sa fermeture, une aire de séchage. C'est aussi, en Limousin, la dernière tuilerie à avoir pratiqué le moulage à la main. La production était constituée de tuiles plates ou courbes, de briques pleines et carreaux de four à pain. L'agencement des différents édifices forme un ensemble représentatif des établissements traditionnels de la fin du 19e siècle, de taille modeste : une aire centrale et des séchoirs organisés sur son pourtour ; un hangar de stockage jouxtant le four, tous deux disposés au bout de la chaîne de fabrication horizontale.

History
The buildings must date from around 1915. This tile works-brick factory was never mechanised, and is representative of the old local craft practices and ancestral modes of operation of the enterprises of Puycheny. It is the last tile works to possess, in 1947, at the time of its closure, a drying area. It is also, in Limousin, the last tile works to have practised hand moulding. Production consisted of flat or curved tiles, solid bricks and oven tiles for bread ovens. The arrangement of the different buildings forms an ensemble representative of traditional establishments of the end of the 19th century, of modest size: a central area and drying sheds organised around its perimeter; a storage shed adjoining the kiln, both arranged at the end of the horizontal manufacturing chain.
