La porcherie appartient à un ensemble rural qui comprend une ferme, une maison de maître de 1849, une grange-étable monumentale, une seconde grange-étable à usage de bergerie, un poulailler partiellement détruit. La porcherie aurait été construite entre 1851 et 1882. History
The pigsty belongs to a rural complex which comprises a farm, a master's house of 1849, a monumental barn-stable, a second barn-stable used as a sheepfold, a partially destroyed hen house. The pigsty would have been built between 1851 and 1882. In the 1850s took place a rationalization of the cultivation methods of the holding, with innovative machines and drainage and sanitation systems. The form of this pigsty corresponds to this desire for rationalization. The octagonal form of the building allows accommodation of up to 16 sows, at the rate of two pig-loges per side. Inside, three distinct spaces: the pig-loges arranged perpendicular to the walls; a circular corridor allowing access to each loge and provisioning by means of flaps at the base of the partition; a vast central area seven metres in diameter. This central area was intended to serve as food store, care area and food preparation area.
