La construction de la halle pourrait remonter à l'instauration des foires et marchés au début du 18e siècle par Louis II de Rochechouart, duc de Mortemart. De plan rectangulaire, ouverte, elle se compose de douze poteaux de chêne, de section carrée, répartis sur les longs côtés, délimitant ainsi une allée unique de cinq travées couverte d'un toit à croupes. A l'ouest, les poteaux reposent sur un muret de moellons en granit. A l'origine, ils reposaient sans doute sur des bases monolithes en granit. La charpente, formée de quatre fermes, est portée par des poteaux, par l'intermédiaire de sablières.

History
The construction of the hall could date back to the establishment of fairs and markets in the early 18th century by Louis II de Rochechouart, duc de Mortemart. Of rectangular plan, open, it is composed of twelve oak posts, of square section, distributed on the long sides, thus delimiting a single aisle of five bays covered with a hipped roof. To the west, the posts rest on a wall of rubble stone in granite. Originally, they probably rested on monolithic granite bases. The roof structure, formed of four roof trusses, is carried by posts, by way of sill-beams.
