La paroisse remonte à la fin du 11e siècle. Le chœur et l'avant-chœur, voûtés en plein cintre, sont les parties les plus anciennes de l'église auxquelles a été ajoutée la nef rectangulaire. La sacristie, surmontée du logement du curé et du clocher, fut édifiée à la fin du 18e siècle. Installation du mobilier liturgique dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle. A partir de 1776, l'église a été adoptée par les Acadiens qui y célèbrent unions et naissances, et inhument leurs proches dans le petit cimetière

History
The parish dates back to the late 11th century. The choir and antechoir, vaulted in barrel vault, are the oldest parts of the church to which was added the rectangular nave. The sacristy, crowned with the priest's residence and the bell tower, was built in the late 18th century. Installation of liturgical furnishings in the second half of the 18th century. From 1776, the church was adopted by the Acadians who celebrated unions and births there, and buried their near and dear in the small cemetery.
