A la suite de la promulgation des lois Jules Ferry sur l'école de 1881 et 1882, l'école Anatole France fut construite selon les plans des architectes Charles Maurel et Edouard Angeli. L'édifice s'organise autour d'un plan symétrique et se compose de corps de bâtiment et de pavillons abritant locaux scolaires et administratifs ainsi que des logements. Le bâtiment de l'école, au centre, est constituée d'un préau couvert flanqué de deux ailes contenant les salles de classe.

History
