Historique
Dans le courant du 19e siècle, développement de la ville d'Hyères comme station climatique et de tourisme. Création d'un quartier à l'ouest de la ville à partir des années 1860 par le promoteur Alexis Godillot. Il travaille souvent avec l'architecte Pierre Chapoulart, à qui l'on doit la plupart des réalisations de ce quartier (villas, hôtels, église, ...). Trois villas sont construites dans le goût orientaliste, notamment la villa tunisienne en 1884, où il installe sa résidence et son agence. Si l'extérieur n'a pas été modifié, en revanche l'intérieur n'a gardé aucun dispositif d'origine. La maison réunit les conventions stylistiques du néo-mauresque : arcs outrepassés, merlons, décor polychrome, ...

History
During the course of the 19th century, development of the town of Hyères as a health resort and tourist destination. Creation of a district to the west of the town from the 1860s onwards by the developer Alexis Godillot. He often worked with architect Pierre Chapoulart, to whom are due most of the achievements in this district (villas, hotels, church, ...). Three villas are built in the orientalist taste, notably the Tunisian villa in 1884, where he installed his residence and office. Whilst the exterior has not been modified, the interior has retained no original features.
