Historique
Hôtel de ville construit en 1898 par l'architecte Anatole Bienaimé. Au premier étage, une salle a été le théâtre de la réunion, décisive pour le sort de la Première Guerre mondiale, tenue par l'Etat-Major allié le 26 mars 1918. Au cours de cette réunion (à laquelle assistaient Clemenceau, Poincaré, Lord Milner, Haig, ...) , un commandement unique fut institué et confié au général Foch. Cette salle a fait l'objet d'un programme d'aménagement commémoratif en 1937-1938 : vitrail commémoratif conçu par G. Ansart en 1937 et réalisé par le maître verrier Gaudin, deux toiles commémorant l'événement exécutées par le peintre Jonas (1936-1938) , bronzes de Sicard représentant Clemenceau et Lord Milner (1918)...

History
Town hall constructed in 1898 by architect Anatole Bienaimé.
