History
This gateway is the sole remaining vestige of the former hôtel de La Marcadière, which it dignified at the entrance through its triumphal arch architecture. Its decoration inspired by antiquity - twin Ionic columns, richly sculptured entablature - is characteristic of the use of antique vocabulary in civil architecture of the 18th century. It gives access to a courtyard garden where are found a narrow pavilion dated 1878 and a dwelling house of the second half of the 19th century.
