Historique
L'ancien hôtel de ville, construit de 1520 à 1530, a extérieurement conservé son aspect primitif. Son plan trapézoïdal, s'ouvre par une entrée principale sur le plus petit côté. La porte était richement ornée, surmontée d'un écusson aux armes de la ville, et précédée d'un vaste perron. Les angles sont flanqués de petites tours circulaires. Le couronnement se compose de consoles avec arcatures formant des mâchicoulis avec parapet crénelé. De larges lucarnes en pierre couvertes de sculpture complètent l'ensemble. Le beffroi, rebâti en 1694, présente une tour carrée. Des traces du beffroi primitif (15e siècle) se trouvent à la base.

History
The former town hall, built from 1520 to 1530, has externally retained its original appearance. Its trapezoidal plan opens by a main entrance on the shortest side. The door was richly ornamented, surmounted by an escutcheon with the arms of the town, and preceded by a vast perron. The angles are flanked by small circular towers. The crowning consists of consoles with arcatures forming machicolations with crenellated parapet. Large stone dormers covered with sculpture complete the whole. The belfry, rebuilt in 1694, presents a square tower. Traces of the original belfry (15th century) are found at the base.
