Historique
Implantée à proximité de l'ancienne voie romaine reliant Dreux à Paris, cette église serait l'une des plus anciennes des Yvelines. L'édifice se compose d'un vaisseau unique comprenant nef et choeur. Le clocher carré est terminé par une abside semi-circulaire. Montrant un opus spicatum, la nef pourrait remonter au 11e siècle. Le reste appartient au 12e siècle. Les parties hautes du clocher ont sans doute été reprises au début du 13e siècle. Voûté d'ogives, le rez-de-chaussée du clocher abrite un décor d'autel en plâtre attribuable au 17e siècle (1660-1680 ?).

History
Located near the former Roman road linking Dreux to Paris, this church is said to be one of the oldest in the Yvelines. The building consists of a single nave comprising nave and choir. The square bell tower is terminated by a semi-circular apse. Showing opus spicatum, the nave could date back to the 11th century. The rest belongs to the 12th century. The upper parts of the bell tower were undoubtedly rebuilt in the early 13th century. Vaulted with ribs, the ground floor of the bell tower houses an altar decoration in plaster attributable to the 17th century (1660-1680?).
