Croix de chemin dépendant de la léproserie de Notre-Dame du Val, construite en grès. Elle se compose d'un socle portant le chronogramme 1790 ou 1799, sur lequel repose un fût octogonal puis un noeud terminé par une croix en fer forgé. Son érection remonterait au 17e siècle. Les croix de léproserie marquaient la limite que les malades ne devaient pas franchir, sauf autorisation du prieur ou du maître. Elles étaient également des destinations ou des étapes de processions et signalaient le lieu comme terre d'asile ou d'aumône.

History
Wayside cross belonging to the leper hospital of Notre-Dame du Val, built in sandstone. It consists of a base bearing the chronogram 1790 or 1799, on which rests an octagonal shaft then a knot terminated by an iron-forged cross. Its erection would date back to the 17th century. Leper hospital crosses marked the boundary that the sick should not cross except with permission of the prior or master. They were also destinations or stages of processions and signalled the place as land of refuge or alms.
