Les bâtiments de cette teinturerie ont été construits entre 1784 et 1787 par Jean-Baptiste-François Auvray, maître teinturier, qui l'a exploitée jusque vers 1825. L'ensemble comprend également une grande maison de maître. Situés le long du Robec, les bâtiments se divisent sur trois niveaux en salles de lavage, de mordançage, de teinture, de séchage. History
The buildings of this dyeworks were constructed between 1784 and 1787 by Jean-Baptiste-François Auvray, master dyer, who operated it until around 1825. The ensemble also includes a large main dwelling. Located along the Robec, the buildings are divided over three levels into washing, muddening, dyeing and drying rooms. The ensemble, in brick, is in poor condition, having been reused many times in the 19th and 20th centuries as an educational establishment, residential buildings and restaurant, and having been vandalized several times. The main dwelling is a large building of five storeys, well-ordered, in bricks formerly rendered, the interiors having been greatly altered.
