Encuvement sur abri de type R 600 pour canon antichar de 50 mm, appartenant au dispositif de la forteresse du Havre et du Mur de l'Atlantique, mis en service novembre 1942, destiné à bloquer la route sud vers le Havre par les marais, le long du canal de Tancarville. Vraisemblablement construit en 1943, il se compose de deux parties superposées : un gros abri bétonné à entrée de plain-pied sur l'arrière avec sas d'entrée donnant sur une chambre de troupe et une soûte à munitions, et un encuvement pour pièce d'artillerie situé sur le toit de l'ouvrage. Etant à la fois isolé et en élévation, ce blockhaus devait nécessairement être camouflé ; un pignon de brique avec oculus placé sur le toit prouve qu'il était recouvert d'une toiture et avait l'apparence d'une maison d'habitation. History
Gun emplacement on R 600 type shelter for 50 mm anti-tank gun, belonging to the defensive system of the fortress of Le Havre and the Atlantic Wall, put into service November 1942, intended to block the southern road to Le Havre through the marshes, along the Tancarville canal. Probably constructed in 1943, it consists of two superimposed parts: a large reinforced concrete shelter with ground-level entrance at the rear with entrance vestibule giving onto a troop chamber and ammunition magazine, and a gun emplacement situated on the roof of the work. Being both isolated and elevated, this blockhaus necessarily had to be camouflaged; a brick gable with oculus placed on the roof proves that it was covered with a roof and had the appearance of a dwelling house. The original artillery piece was deposited in the premises of the association Remember Le Havre.
