L'hôtel particulier de Paul Follot, beau-frère de Paul Poiret, considéré comme un des pères de l'Art Décoratif français, a été construit entre 1912 et 1914. L'intérêt principal de cet édifice réside dans la conservation exceptionnelle d'un ensemble décoratif homogène, comprenant aussi bien des tentures murales que des meubles, des appliques que des tapis, éléments restés en place depuis leur installation au début du siècle. Le toit légèrement bombé, à croupe hémicirculaire, très pentu, dont les tuiles reposent sur un voile de béton, évoque les maisons du Nord, d'Autriche ou d'Allemagne. La même influence viennoise se fait sentir dans la présence de mosaïques, tant intérieures qu'extérieures. Les ferronneries attribuées à Edgar Brandt sont très sobres.

History
The townhouse of Paul Follot, brother-in-law of Paul Poiret, considered one of the fathers of French Decorative Art, was built between 1912 and 1914. The principal interest of this building lies in the exceptional preservation of a homogeneous decorative ensemble, comprising wall hangings as well as furniture, wall lights as well as carpets, elements which have remained in place since their installation at the beginning of the century. The slightly domed roof, with hemicircular slope, very steep, whose tiles rest on a concrete shell, evokes houses of the North, Austria or Germany. The same Viennese influence is felt in the presence of mosaics, both interior and exterior. The ironwork attributed to Edgar Brandt is very restrained.
