History
This is a rare example of a fortified house preserved in Haute-Savoie. It is representative of the evolution of a castral architecture towards an architecture of bourgeois holiday residence in the 19th century: a master's house accompanied by its chapel in proximity to buildings intended for agricultural exploitation. The general appearance of the present building is the result of the last campaigns of modernization work in the 19th century but the different periods of construction are revealed both in plan and in elevation.
