Dès 1958, le clos du marquis de Seyssel est mis à la disposition des curistes. L’État acquiert le domaine en 1865 pour créer un parc public et rétrocède le château et ses dépendances à la commune. Les travaux d'aménagement du parc, annexé à l'établissement thermal, sont confiés à Samuel Revel qui réalise un parc paysager avec allées et chambres vertes. La composition est remaniée en 1933 par Charles Bouhana lors de la construction du nouvel établissement thermal par Pétriaux en 1932. A cette époque, le parc est loué par l'établissement thermal à la commune qui y transfert deux kiosques buvette et des kiosques pour la vente de fleurs. Elle construit un promenoir attenant aux kiosques buvette et un bâtiment à usage de café. Cette nouvelle composition, influencée par le style Art Déco, présente un découpage de l'espace en de très nombreuses pelouses géométriques. Trois allées rectilignes traversent longitudinalement le parc. La large allée centrale, ornée de massifs fleuris rectangulaires et d'un bassin animé d'un jet d'eau, mène au promenoir. Un théâtre de verdure est aménagé en 1953. Dans les dix dernières années, les importants travaux réalisés pour la réfection des circulations, du système d'éclairage et pour l'installation du système d'arrosage automatique, montrent un glissement du parc vers un usage public traditionnel, perdant son identité première de promenade dans la ville des eaux

History
From 1858 onwards, the estate of the marquis de Seyssel is placed at the disposal of spa visitors.
