History
From 1950 onwards, Denys Pradelle reflected on the project of a family chalet based on an overall economy, both of the constructive processes and of the design of the interior spaces. Of square plan, on two levels, the distributions are reduced to a minimum thanks to a central space accessing each room. Testifying to the pioneering period of construction of the Courchevel 1850 resort, this chalet constitutes a unique experience of designing a residential dwelling in a winter sports resort, realized according to the principles retained for holiday chalets. Maintained in its original state, the Petit Navire is today one of the last full chalets not transformed.
