Historique
A partir de 1840, l'activité des mines de Sain-Bel et Chessy fut relancée par la famille Perret pour l'extraction de pyrite de fer. Le puits Perret est le seul puits des mines de Saint-Bel qui ait conservé ses installations de surface. Celles-ci datent de sa transformation en puits principal entre 1920 et 1928. Le chevalement, la recette ainsi que le bâtiment de la machine appartiennent à la commune depuis 1972. Construits en structure métallique, briques et mâchefer, ces édifices conservent l'essentiel des installations liées à l'exploitation. Le poste de sauvetage a été réalisé contre le bâtiment de la machine après 1934. L'atelier de broyage est constitué d'une ossature métallique et d'un remplissage de briques et communiquait avec la recette. L'atelier de cassage manuel se situe sur la plate-forme supérieure, dans un des bâtiments privés.

History
From 1840 onwards, the activity of the mines of Sain-Bel and Chessy was revived by the Perret family for the extraction of iron pyrite. The Perret shaft is the only shaft of the Saint-Bel mines which has retained its surface installations. These date from its transformation into a main shaft between 1920 and 1928. The headframe, the surface building and the engine house have belonged to the commune since 1972. Built in metal structure, brick and slag, these buildings retain the essential installations linked to exploitation. The rescue station was built against the engine house after 1934. The crushing workshop consists of a metal framework and brick infill and communicated with the surface building. The manual breaking workshop is located on the upper platform, in one of the private buildings.
