History
With the development of the Parilly district in the 1920s-1930s, the population demands its own parish, the church of Saint-Germain, at the centre of Vénissieux, having become too distant. The new church is constructed in 1932 by architect Joanny Verger. Stained-glass windows, due to Théodore Hanssen are installed in the choir in 1946. Three narrative windows, each composed of paired openings in shed form, depict scenes from the life of Christ transposed to the contemporary period. The parish complex also includes a presbytery and a meeting hall. The buildings have retained their original enclosed gardens.
