Située à proximité de ses usines de Montplaisir et de celles qu'il projette alors de construire à Vénissieux, cette demeure comporte des décors Art Nouveau réalisés par le maître-verrier Jacques Gruber et l'ébéniste Louis Majorelle, de l'Ecole de Nancy. Le parc est dessiné par le paysagiste Joseph Linossier. La maison abrite depuis 1982 la Fondation de l'Automobile Marius Berliet.

History
Dwelling built from 1911 to 1912 for the automobile and truck manufacturer Marius Berliet by the Lyon architect Paul Bruyas. Located near his factories in Montplaisir and those he was then planning to build in Vénissieux, this dwelling features Art Nouveau decorations created by master glazier Jacques Gruber and cabinetmaker Louis Majorelle, of the Nancy School. The park is designed by landscape gardener Joseph Linossier. The house has housed the Marius Berliet Automobile Foundation since 1982.
