Historique
Dans le cadre de la reconstruction du quartier de la gare, Pierre Jean Guth conçut un ensemble circulaire autour d'un jardin préexistant. La construction des 96 logements et 19 commerces dura de 1950 à 1963. Le bâtiment de structure annulaire, entouré d'une galerie couverte ouverte vers l'extérieur, est percé de deux passages. Celui situé au sud-est correspond à une interruption de l'anneau avec, de part et d'autre, un abaissement progressif de la hauteur des étages qui passe de 6 à 4 niveaux. Le toit est couvert de zinc avec des extrémités en croupe à chaque changement de niveau, sur une charpente métallique. L'ensemble est construit en béton avec, en surface, des plaques de pierre et du béton bouchardé ou avec des gravillons lavés. Les balcons sont munis de garde-corps en résille à effet décoratif.

History
As part of the reconstruction of the railway station district, Pierre Jean Guth designed a circular complex around a pre-existing garden.
