Dated 1610 on the portal providing access to the cellar, this building characteristic of Alsatian Renaissance - one of the largest in Hunawihr - is attributed locally to Heinrich Schickhardt (1558-1635), architect of the Dukes of Württemberg, which nothing in the current state of research allows to corroborate. Inside, one notices, at the north-east corner of the ground floor, a room whose trompe-l'oeil ceiling executed at the end of the 19th century, imitates wood, marquetry, inlays and mouldings.
