La fortification médiévale aurait comporté treize tours de défense et trois portes. L'ensemble incluant le château au sud-est a été démoli lors de la guerre de Hollande en 1677. History
The medieval fortification is said to have comprised thirteen defensive towers and three gates. The ensemble including the castle to the south-east was demolished during the War of the Dutch Succession in 1677. A tower with a circular plan and two sections of adjacent curtain wall are the only remaining vestiges of the fortified structures of Diemeringen.
