La première église de Grendelbruch est mentionnée en 974, parmi les biens que le comte Hugues à l'abbaye d'Altorf pour sa fondation. Au début du 20e siècle, on y a ajouté un toit à deux versants et un vestibule intégrant des vestiges d'un corps de garde de 1829.

History
The first church of Grendelbruch is mentioned in 974, among the goods that Count Hughes gave to the abbey of Altorf for its foundation. Gradually falling into ruins, it was replaced by a new building in the 16th century. No visible element of the primitive church remains in the present building. The small chapel, however, contains a vestige of the parish church demolished in the 19th century; it is the vaulted ground floor of the former choir tower, dated 1565. At the beginning of the 20th century, a roof with two slopes and a vestibule incorporating vestiges of a guardhouse from 1829 were added to it.
