Historique
Une pâtisserie existait au début du 19e siècle. Rachetée en 1874 par Jean-Baptiste Miremont, dont elle conserve le nom, elle devint l'un des rendez-vous les plus mondains de la ville. Son décor (devanture, mosaïque, stucs et lambris) est encore en place. Deux cariatides encadrent la devanture en bois coiffée d'un entablement ponctué de modillons triglyphes cerclés de couronnes feuillagées. A l'intérieur, la pièce d'entrée est couverte par un plafond en cuir repoussé d'inspiration mauresque, décoré d'arabesques et de caractères coufiques. Une grille en fer forgée sépare le magasin du salon de thé, décoré lui aussi de glaces et de lambris mélangeant entrelacs à la Berain et putti antiquisants. Un escalier de bois mène aux salons de l'étage, aux décors de stucs.

History
A pastry shop existed in the early 19th century. Purchased in 1874 by Jean-Baptiste Miremont, whose name it retains, it became one of the most fashionable meeting places in the town. Its decoration (shop front, mosaic, stucco and panelling) is still in place. Two caryatids frame the wooden shop front topped by an entablature punctuated with triglyphic modillions ringed with leafy wreaths. Inside, the entrance room is covered by a ceiling in embossed leather of Moorish inspiration, decorated with arabesques and Kufic characters. A wrought-iron grille separates the shop from the tea room, also decorated with mirrors and panelling mingling Bérain interlace and classical putti. A wooden staircase leads to the upper-storey salons, with stucco decoration.
