La serre se compose d'un grand pavillon central carré, à toit légèrement bombé, à quatre versants, encadré de deux ailes symétriques, plus basses, aux toitures en arc brisé aplati et aux extrémités arrondies. La construction, qui ne possède aucune soudure, est entièrement démontable, et assemblée au moyen de vis à métaux. Les centaines de vitres sont plates et les effets de courbure résultent de leur disposition. Construite par la société Maury et Stoekel, la serre aurait été présentée à l'Exposition universelle de 1900 où elle aurait obtenu le premier prix de ferronnerie et de serrurerie d'art

History
The glasshouse comprises a large central square pavilion with a slightly domed roof with four slopes, flanked by two symmetrical lower wings with flattened broken-arch roofing and rounded ends. The construction, which has no welding, is entirely dismountable and assembled by means of metal screws. The hundreds of panes are flat and the curved effects result from their arrangement. Built by the Maury and Stoekel company, the glasshouse is said to have been presented at the 1900 Universal Exposition where it is said to have won first prize for ironwork and artistic locksmithing.
