Rue Boirot, des fouilles préventives menées en 2013 ont fait apparaître des vestiges importants de cette enceinte, s'élevant sur une hauteur de 11 m, fondations comprises. La largeur du mur était d'environ 2,50 m à la base et d'1,80 m en hauteur. En partie basse, il se caractérisée par un parement en grand appareil d'arkose. En élévation, le parement est constitué de moellons irréguliers assisés, de la même manière que son blocage intérieur.

History
In Clermont, as in many cities of Gaul, the Lower Empire was accompanied by the construction of an enclosure of reduced size to protect the city. On Rue Boirot, preventive excavations carried out in 2013 revealed significant remains of this enclosure, rising to a height of 11 m, including foundations.
