Historique
Villa construite entre 1913 et 1917 dans un parc où se trouvaient, outre la buvette, une pastillerie, un chalet de soin et un chalet de lecture. La villa fut dissociée du parc thermal et vendue en 1957 pour être transformée en hôtel. De style éclectique, l'édifice présente la structure classique d'un quadrilatère massif flanqué, au centre de la façade, d'une pseudo tour couronnée d'un dôme à lanternon. Les tourelles d'angle polygonales de la façade est, à galerie de bois couverte en surplomb, et la véranda à bow-window de la face nord, évoquent le style balnéaire et l'architecture anglo-normande. History
Villa built between 1913 and 1917 in a park where, besides the refreshment stand, there were a pastille factory, a treatment chalet and a reading chalet. The villa was separated from the thermal park and sold in 1957 to be transformed into a hotel. Of eclectic style, the building presents the classical structure of a massive quadrilateral flanked, at the centre of the façade, by a pseudo tower crowned with a dome with lantern. The polygonal corner turrets of the east façade, with covered wooden gallery in overhang, and the veranda with bow-window of the north face, evoke the seaside style and Anglo-Norman architecture. The elevations are endowed with stone decoration referring to Auvergnat Romanesque architecture. The interior decoration is of the same diversity of inspiration. The wooden staircase with ornate start is set in a cage lit by stained-glass windows with Art Nouveau motifs by the Champigneulle workshop.
