History

Seigneurial residence of the 15th century, fitted out and developed in the 17th and 18th centuries. The primitive château of the 15th century, formed of buildings grouped around a central court and flanked by towers, was opened in the 17th century onto the esplanade which precedes it. The wing removed to give light to this old construction and make it habitable at a time when military concerns had become secondary, was replaced by an open portico preceded by a wide flight of steps with double handrails. In front of the château, outbuildings of one storey with mansard roof preceded by a terrace, extend on either side of an esplanade closed, opposite the château, by a wall pierced with a grille. In the gardens and outside the château are found remains from the 18th century.
