Ensemble médiéval des 13e (donjon) et 14e siècles, remanié au 17e siècle (logis sud). Les restes du château constituent d'intéressants vestiges d'une forteresse appartenant à une lignée de places défendant la Comté et le Dauphiné d'Auvergne. Le château a conservé son donjon et ses courtines nord et sud. En 1761, le château, déjà en ruines, est racheté par des propriétaires qui le divisent en plusieurs parties.

History
Medieval ensemble of the 13th (keep) and 14th centuries, remodelled in the 17th century (south main dwelling). The remains of the château constitute interesting vestiges of a fortress belonging to a lineage of places defending the County and the Dauphiné of Auvergne. The château has preserved its keep and its north and south curtain walls. In 1761, the château, already in ruins, was bought by owners who divided it into several parts.
