Le château de La palme remonte au 18ème siècle. Un membre notoire de la famille, Philippe Dauchel, né en 1752, achèvera son établissement en améliorant de façon considérable l'exploitation du domaine agricole qui se poursuivra au cours du 19ème siècle. A partir de 1885, le parc s'organisera sur une grande parcelle carrée, constituant un véritable arboretum inspiré des propriétés anglaises. Des massifs d'arbres voisinent avec des ormes à feuilles larges, simulant ainsi la continuation du parc vers la campagne. Un puits artésien, aménagé en 1819, alimente la pièce d'eau.

History
The château of La palme dates from the 18th century. A notable member of the family, Philippe Dauchel, born in 1752, will complete its establishment by considerably improving the exploitation of the agricultural estate which will continue during the 19th century. From 1885 onwards, the park will be organised on a large square plot, constituting a genuine arboretum inspired by English properties. Masses of trees neighbour with broad-leaved elms, thus simulating the continuation of the park towards the countryside. An artesian well, fitted out in 1819, supplies the water feature.
