Les décors sculptés du 16e siècle sont représentatifs de la première Renaissance française dans le Perche ornais. La variété du traitement de la sculpture est particulièrement remarquable : descentes de guirlandes, grotesques des frontons surmontés par des salamandres affrontées (en bas-relief) , pots à feu, colonnettes et couronnement des ouvertures (en moyen-relief) , un cerf à la reposée qui anime le centre de la composition (en haut-relief).

History
The sculptured decoration of the 16th century is representative of the first French Renaissance in Perche ornais. This Renaissance wall is the unique remnant of the old hôtel-dieu, rebuilt around 1515 by Marguerite de Lorraine, also called Saint-Nicolas hospital, of which it would have constituted the façade. The variety of sculptural treatment is particularly remarkable: festoon garlands, grotesques of pediments surmounted by confronted salamanders (in bas-relief), fire-urns, small columns and crowning of openings (in middle-relief), a deer at rest which animates the centre of the composition (in high-relief).
