Ce château a été édifié entre 1865 et 1867 par l'architecte parisien Storez pour le marquis de Montaut, à l'emplacement de trois châteaux plus anciens (deux féodaux et un du 18e siècle, dont subsiste le colombier daté de 1766). Le parc a été réaménagé vers 1920.

History
This castle was built between 1865 and 1867 by Parisian architect Storez for the marquis de Montaut, on the site of three older castles (two feudal and one from the 18th century, of which a dovecot dating from 1766 remains). The park was remodelled around 1920.
