History
The building is located at the site of an older castle, built in the 16th century or before, as perhaps evidenced by the cellars, one of which has a rib vault. It was remodelled in the 18th century as a country residence, before being completely modernized in the 1850s. The estate was marked by Marie Madeleine de la Vieuville, born in Paris in 1693, who became Countess of Parabère by marriage. Widowed in 1716, she became the mistress of Philippe d'Orléans until 1721. She held sumptuous feasts and hunting parties there.
